How To Obtain Your Oregon Real Estate License
In order to obtain an Oregon Real Estate License you must meet the following requirements:
Complete 150 hours of study in these areas:
- 30 hours in Real Estate Law
- 30 hours in Real Estate Finance
- 30 hours in Real Estate Practice
- 15 hours in Contracts
- 15 hours in Agency
- 20 hours in Real Estate Brokerage
- 10 hours in Property Management
- After completion of the education, take the state administered exam
- and obtain a passing grade of 75% or better
- Pass the State Police fingerprint and background check

The State of Oregon administers the exam once a month on the last Saturday of the month. Exam results are mailed out the following Saturday. There is a $75.00 registration fee to take the exam. The license activation fee is $230.00.
